My old crap car died on me a few weeks ago, and I think its time for me to look for a new car. I gotta keep the price under $15,000 (anyone have any other suggestions as well), and this one that really sticks out to me, however I'm worried that it might be a chick car.

the scion tc looks like a hell of a deal. 160hp, mp3 cd player, made by toyota, etc.

I've always dislike the Scion genX crap. Just check out this blurb on the scion site..

The xB is all about attitude. The question is, how much can you handle? Cruise with your friends and chill.

I'd feel like too much of a tool if I went with the tC, even though it is a nice car.

The Mazda3 is not a chick car, but the scion looks waaaaaay cooler.

The Mazda3 is pimp dude! Now a Toyota Celica (sp?) is a total chick car!

Yes.
you could get a relatively new accord or camry for like 15k

i think it would be pretty dumb to base your opinion of a product on its marketing alone. does 'how do you want your zoom-zoom?' really hit a high note with you?

all things being equal, or without any other source of information, I'd be much more willing to plunk down 15K on a Toyota than on a Mazda.

same, reliability + resale

Mazda is roughly right up there with Toyota now, because they actually make some real good cars now.

...says the guy who owns a passat.

is this really a fruit car? or is it just that guys who drive "chick cars" are fruits?

what's fruity about a passat?

It's as girly as a Ford Focus, because that's exactly what it is. So, if you don't like the Focus, sorry for spoiling the 3 for you.

Its like the slightly less gay version of the Jetta. Nicer and less flamboyant, but it still loves the cock.

Yeah it is pretty much like the focus, or at least the hatchback version is. I think the 4 door is slightly nicer though.

perhaps you should consider daewoo or suzuki? cheap and unreliable, but they don't have gen-x marketing or apparently gay reputations. it's all about marketing and reputations!!
