Hand 1 - I would consider just calling MP2's flop raise here, planning on raising a non scary turn card. It's likely you still have the best hand, and by waiting until the turn you can charge anyone who is on a draw more than you could on the flop. The river check by MP2 is strange, but there's no reason to check it through. No one else has shown aggression and its unlikely anyone completed a draw.

Hand 2 - I like your play here. Since you have the A /images/graemlins/diamond.gif, your flop raise has more value if there are cold-callers as opposed to waiting until the turn to shut people out. Against a LAGgy opponent, I would raise the turn here, but against a normally passive player I would just call down. The river is pretty bad, I'm guessing the SB has 33 and I'm not sure about MP2, maybe a str8 with 52 or 57 or a slowplayed 4.
