I have found evenings during the week and anytime on the weekend to be the best.

Also - when you're feeling physically and mentally good. It doesn't do much good to be playing at the best time if it's not the best time for you.

BTW, "evening" more in terms of Eastern time.

My Personal Favorite is late night on a Friday or Saturday.

If you find a good drunk Fish, you can take many many dollars off of him in a short time.

I haven't explored this myself, but I've heard from several pros that 4-5 am central is a great time to play. This is because of Scandanavian players who are super LAGy.

i can vouch for this; i've had several profitable sessions playing early AM, central time. I noticed a lot of Russians playing, as well as Scandinavians.

My winrates closely resemble the pokerpulse.com charts. I'm in negative BB/100 the times they are below 5,000 (early morning, also my smallest sample size).

Are you sure you or your pro friends aren't mixing up the geografy because I sometimes see players make a comment to players that they think is Scandinavian who actually isn't anywhere near Scandinavia. They base their guess on the fact that the player has a location that doesn't sound "english" and immediatly pin him/her Scandinavian.

4am-5am central is nowhere near when most scandinavian players are online. 4-5 am central is like 11am-noon local time in Scandinavia and most people are at work????. When home from work I have sometimes played in this time slot and I sure don't see as many scandinavians as I do later on the day.

Most scandinavian players play something like 11am-4pm central which is 6pm-11pm in Scandinavia.

What am I supposed to do? I woke up at 8am and I want to play poker but I'd imagine it's highly unprofitable. *argh*

I guess I could go work out . . . or go back to sleep. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Is this serious?

I probably wouldn't do it even if he was serious, as being up at 4-5am would mess up my sleep cycle pretty bad. Also, if I do stay up that late I'm so tired / sleepy that I play a horrible game.
