These are two hands that bothered me during a recent losing session. I was trying to find a balance between playing aggresively and folding a hand where I didn't figure to have the best of it - perhaps out of fear of losing more than I was. I know playing with fear probably isn't prudent (but I was having a difficult time and was probably playing at a table where I was outmatched), so I ended my session shortly thereafter.

Was I being wimpy here, or are these quality folds?

I do fold hand #1 because there are a couple callers between the bettor and me. But if I'm immediately after him, I tend to err on the side of LAG and raise.

I also make this fold in hand #2.

I'd consider calling down on hand 1 without a read but fold hand 2. You have to hit 2 perfect cards to be confident of being in the lead here. UTG+1 has bet into a field of 3, all of whom have a chance of holding a K from his point of view - it is unlikely he has nothing. Also, the flush draw is out tainting Ad and Jd.
