There is no point in this hand where you should have folded. I think you played it fine.

He could have flopped 2 pair or a set, but you have no way of knowing. I would play the hand the exact way you did every time. I would find the turn action a little unnerving; after he 3-bet it, I would slow down.

The river is terrifying, but I would feel compelled to call it. I doubt he is bluffing here, but the infinitismally small chance of that plus I'd like to see what he had and how he played it would induce my call.

You should not even consider folding the river.

He obviously has something by his flop 3 bet. We can narrow it down to a set, 2 pair, top pair top kick, or a str8. Since you have one set of AQ, it is unlikely. Raising the turn is a bad idea. In general, raising a str8 or flush on a paired board is a bad idea. It is even a worse idea given his flop 3 bet and the board texture. Anyway, I personally check/call the turn. And sadly make a crying call on the river

Crap, what are down to now? 3 /images/graemlins/spade.gif 8 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif only comes up so often.... What else can I call preflop? /images/graemlins/mad.gif
