UB has gotten a lot of players into NL. I hope some will try it out live. There's just no poker like live no limit.


Anybody seeing new small NL games crop up? We've got a $1-2-2 at the Palace in Hayward, but that's it. If you're in the Bay Area, come play! (I'd really would like that game to thrive as it's on my way home from work.) Nothing yet in San Jose, but there's hope. All it takes is for a few people to ask at the local casino. So ask!

I have only played live NL once when I was in Vegas a few years back when the stratosphere was running the small game.


The fact that I doubled up when my KK flopped a set has always given me fond memories of the experience!


I would love to try a NL game like the stratosphere again when I get to vegas or reno.

I know this message was from almost a year ago, but I'll respond now anyways. As far as "asking the local casino" in San Jose for a no-limit or any other big-bet game, it pretty much won't happen. The city won't allow it. The city (San Jose) doesn't allow a whole lot of things as far as cardrooms are concerned. So the biggest game they can have is a spread-limit game w/ max. bet of $200.
