I'm thinking of buying a DVD recorder from gateway, but one person I talked to had a bad experience with their customer service. Anyone have similar? different?

You might want to wait 6 months before buying. DVDR chipset suppliers are delaying next version product releases becuase of software bugs and resulting high return rate.
