no idea if this is the right forum for this but anyhow...

Before the big upgrade, if you used flat mode, there was a feature so that when you clicked on a topic, it automatically took you to first new message in that topic. (via HTML anchors I assume)

After the upgrade it takes you to the top of the page that has the new message, but you have to scroll down and find where the new messages start yourself.

I can't be the only that finds this really annoying, can I?

Lots of us do and some have contacted the webmaster but nothing has changed. Its still preferable to threaded mode even with this problem.

What we really need is some sort of flat threaded mode. In other words, all posts are shown but the threading is still maintained.

Some call it a "nested" mode and yes, that'd be nice to have.

while I agree that would be nice too, we already HAD this.

In fact, if you take the URL that you get from a post link and remove the last "#<number>" from it, it goes to the correct post. So it's just a bug..

that should be easy as pie to fix in PHP.... Chuck how about it!?
