View Full Version : Affiliate Warning - Frogger

Do not use Frogger as your affiliate. He doesn't pay you. He takes it all for himself and pretends he never had a deal with you. he used the email Tornadoseller@hotmail.com
but i'm sure he has several others.

Yeah, Frogger is a real dirtbag

I think we should track Frogger down, break into his house and remove all his skin. Then we coat the inside of it with chilipeppers and sew him up again before we sit back to watch him dance the grisly dance of death whilst we're sipping cold beers.

when one lays with dogs, they should not only expect fleas, but also expect to be bitten.

this is an example of why rakeback schemes should not be entered into. i'm certain that hundreds of players get stiffed every single month.

Well, you don't really have anything to lose by trying to get rakeback. Worst case scenario: You pay exactly the same rake as you would if you hadn't used an affiliate in the first place.

we all lose.

player a gets ripped off by affiliate X and switches to affiliate Y. costs rise because of all this switching and administering new accounts, then rake rises again.

doesnt matter, each person (correctly) maximizes his own utility. its in both the players favor and the casinos favor for rakeback programs to be available

What about not being able to play the account that is actually set up in YOUR name. If you want switch to a new account that is not linked to the affiliate you will have to do a bit of kinky stuff (change name, e-mail address, b-day etc) which is not fun.

moral - don't do it unless you are SUPREMELY comfortable with the affiliate offering the rake-back

my 2 cents

if you are going to assert this, then get it right.

it is in the favor of the players who are insiders that would know about this. it is NOT in the favor of 95% of the players there that don't even know what an affiliate is, much less a rakeback. they are the ones who suffer from higher rakes, and in the long run these higher rakes will eliminate fish.

if it were such a beneficial program, it would not be against the rules. all affiliates and players would be on a multi-level plan that involves cash back at all stages. even the joke regulatory agency known as KGC specifically prohibits cash rakebacks.

One thing I never understand is, why would an affiliate ever want to rip you off? it makes absolutely no sense. If he refuses to pay you, you could always stop playing at that site and the affiliate would get nothing more from you in the future. Plus you could always report them.

If you stop playing and generating rake, the affliate gets nothing from the site and you could always open up a new account. Doesn't make much business sense if you ask me.

You're making the mistake of assuming that the morons floating around here have any sense, much less business sense.

wow. looks like i dodged a bullet a few months ago when i decided to use another affiliate. i think he offered a crazy deal too, like 25% back or something. it seemed to good to be true, so i didn't go with him.

not a rip-off, just readily available info put together nice and neat and easy to digest. good program, and it's free at most any library. i bought 15 houses/apartment buildings in less than 2 years without spending the first dollar from my pocket, and yes...getting cash back at closing.

cheers!

Email party support and tell them that this guy promised you rakeback and didn't pay you.

As he's not supposed to give it anyway, it will be fun to see what happens.

I have emailed Party support and i wrote the following, and i'm awaiting response;

Hi!

I signed up to your site through an affiliate with signup code POKERDOGZ,
you should know that he offered rake back and doesn't pay his clients. I
know that would go against your policy now. However i don't think you want
an affiliate that cheats his cliens on there cut as agreed. I will not play
anymore on my account as it would benefit this creep, and the same will
happen with all the people he recruits, therefore i think you should cut him
off.

I like your site and would like to play here but for that to happen i would
need a new account. And i have no problem with my account being deleted, as
i think your policy states that it is "one account per person"

Get back to me.

Regards,

The response came:

Thank you for bringing this to our notice, we will get in touch wit this
affiliate.

As far as closing your account is concerned, please send an e-mail to
alerts@partypoker.com and the department concerned will do the needful.

I have emailed alerts now, and i haven't got an answer yet, but it seems as if i could get a new account. And i hope they cut off Frogger. I also think he should be banned from the IRC channel, if someone here can arrange that.
