+370 players. Top 3 tables get pay.

Blinds 100-200. I'm short stack with 1350. UTG folds, I'm next to act and I see 77. I go all in... comments?

Result, I get called by AA 2 seats to the left of me and I lose. To give me hopes, he only has 375 so I'm left with 975.

VERY next hand, I pick up 99 UTG. I go all in. Comments?

If it makes a difference, there's 10 min left at 100-200 blinds, then a break, then blinds go up. I was nursing a short stack the whole tournament and I wanted to win. I could care less about placing in the money... winning is everything.

Please reply with answer and why. Sometimes I feel mid pairs are over-valued.

From early position 77 is very vulnerable. I'd be calling this with AQ/AK or any pair over 88 if I had chip cover. I reckon most others would be the same. You only have 4x blinds and they're going up....

The 99 is an easier choice with only 975 left and imminent blinds. Worth a punt!

Pushing with 77 was correct. This is the kind of play you remember when it doesn't work. It is slightly EV+, and you are short stacked, so you need to gamble. If you get called by two overcards, you have the best hand plus pot odds.

You had to push with 99.
