History: When I first started playing Headsup NL with my friend (no money), we had a rule that if we raised with 72o and won with no showdown that we had to show it.
Tonight: Okay. Tonight I am playing some .10-.25 NL at Ultimate. My friend who is in China happens to be on-line and we are chatting a bit. So I get dealt 72o UTG+1. So I should fold right? Okay so I raise to $2 which is about standard for this game. Now somedays I will raise and will get no callers. But with 72o I get 5 callers. Flop is K75. I have $14 left. Now you all say check/fold? No, no. I raise all-in, representing AK. Oops, guy beside me calls. Everyone else folds. The turn is the beautiful deuce. River is blank.
I show 72o for 2 pair.
Opponent shows AKo for 1 pair. Now if he re-raises preflop, not even I am crazy enough to call that raise with 72o! I have standards.
