View Full Version : short stacked in the big blind

With the stack size of two big blinds I'm forced to post the big blind. The no-limit tournament is down to three-handed. The first player limps and the second raises the pot. I look down at my cards and find pocket deuces. At this point the pot is laying me 4 to 1 heads-up or possibly 5 to 1 against two players. I called and so did the first player. Was this call correct?

Call, without a doubt. You're pot-committed with the hand. If you fold and catch nothing in the SB you're too shortstacked to do anything.
