Is there anyone who has made graphs using their Poker Tracker database or something? Suggestions? Help?

I'm Excel-stupid, computer-smart, always-lazy. Although I have been trying to keep an eye on this forum and the PT forum and haven't really seen what I'm looking for, so I'm asking.

Part of this is just that I'd love seeing my stats in graph form, but also because I have to soon prepare material for my "coming out as a poker player" session with my father (coming to a rural area near you, late October!).

Anyway, help with this extremely appreciated.

How about this approach:

"Dad, I have to tell you something, and you're not going to like it..."

"What is it son?"

"I'm gay"

*Dad's jaw drops*

"Hehe, just kidding dad, actually, I'm a poker player"

"Oh... Whew... Not that there's anything wrong with that"

Anyway... You can make graphs with StatKing, and I wrote a converter to make it easy to export from PokerTracker. It's somewhere in this group.

One thing I don't like about StatKing graphs is that they are session based, not time based (If you don't play for a week there is no gap in the graph).

Exporting to Excel and making nice graphs shouldn't be too hard, but a canned one size fits all sheet probably wouldn't be much good. Maybe one day I will make one for myself and share it here so people can get ideas.

Excel is pretty easy to use, and quite a good tool for non computationally intensive problems. You should take a couple of hours and learn the basics.

I've used R for all my statistics, and it can make pretty graphs.

I just keep track of my bankroll numbers in Excel on a daily basis and then convert it into a monthly and yearly graph, it's really not that hard . . .
