Hero is UTG with [AA]
villain is MidPos w/ [TT]

I limped, e.one folded, villain calls BigBlind.
flop comes [xTJ]
I bet-raise-call.
turn comes [xTJx]
same thing as above
river comes [xTJxJ]
same as above.

results in white below:
I lost to TT (tens full of jacks)

Opinions?

You don't have to put the results in white when you tell us the relevant players hands.

If you are in a game where people are limping TT you should be raising Aces preflop. I don't get the river bet. Is villan in the BB or MP. Maybe you should repost this hand, its kinda confusing.

For some reason I'm having trouble not being results-oriented with this hand.

Preflop, I hate your limp with AA. The edge you gain postflop in terms of deception doesn't make up for all the bets you miss before the flop in the long run, and you can't gauge what your opponents have and what they're putting you on as accurately as when you raise, which can cost you on the later streets in terms of missed bets or putting in extra bets with a (now) inferior hand.

Given your preflop limp, 3-bet the flop and lead the turn whether MP caps or not.

Given your preflop limp and your flop play, checkraise the turn.

Given your preflop limp, your flop play, and your turn stop and go, check-call the river. What do you think he's raising the flop and turn with on a TJxx board? Having the top card on the flop pair on the river is not good for you.

Weird--that's exactly what I put him on. Most of us figured this out due to our finely honed hand-reading skills, but SFer thanks you.

Were you going for the limp/re-raise?

I hate that move.

Still better than just flat out limping, though.

Why don't you post the hand history? Is this from one of your live 15/30 games that you cream?

a) i meant to delete villains hands (forgot)
b) he was in middle position, limped as well
c) it got all [censored] up
d) I appreciate all the input, even the headslapping ones (right on - OW!)

Why stop n' go if (1) you think you have the best hand on the flop and (2) you don't plan on checkraising the turn?

I agree with everyone else on the limp preflop.

I can't wait to see the results.

You misplayed your hand on every single street, including PF.

This is a silly statement. That's like saying you hate the checkraise or whatever. It's just part of a good player's arsenal which is an optimal play in many situations.

If this guy said that the table was very, very aggressive and he was going for a limp-raise and whiffed, that would be one thing. (It might be the case, but Felipe didn't specify.)

If he was just limping with AA to limp with AA, then it sucked.

Valid move or not, I just happen to hate it.
