Played in a rebuy tournament today with about 60 entrants. What do you guys think of this tournament?
Buy in was $100+10. You start with T500. You can rebuy at anytime with any amount of chips for the first four 20min rounds for an additional $100+10, and you get T1000. So, at the very start you can buy an additional T5000 for $500+50 and start with T5500. At the end of the first four rounds you can then get an add on of T1500 for $100+10. No additional rebuys or add ons were allowed after the first four rounds.
I thought it was a no rebuy tourny so I brought only enough for one buy-in. So, I was severly disadvantaged as everyone just kept rebuying and added on at the end of the first four rounds.
Rounds were 20mins
Blinds were 5-10, 10-20, 15-30, 25-50, Break.
50-100, 100-200, 200-400, Break.
500-1000, 1000-2000, 2000-4000, 4000-8000, 10000-20000.
Needless to say I found myself all in with T2500 on the first hand of the 500-1000 level with 44 against QQ and 88. Flop came 753 and no 4 or 6 saved me.
