I am new to two plus two and think the site is great and your posts are all great. My question is about my BB/100. I play 10/20 at party and have tracked about 6,000 hands. I am at 2.31 BB/100. What do you consider a good range. My Voluntary% entering pot is 17.2%. Thanks for any input.

It's a little low - we say 1.5 BB/hr in a live game, and you're seeing twice as many hands, so I'd like to see about 2BB/hr and you're seeing about 50-60 hands an hr, I assume.

but it's winning....a bit more and yer golden.

if you're saying 2.31 BB/100 is a little low then you probably haven't hit the inevitable swings yet (or maybe you're just really good and don't realize it)... 2.31 is a pretty damn good winrate. a really good player at a specific limit would probably shoot for 3. anyone over 3 is destroying that game.

2.3 is crushing the game. If you've sustained this over a large enough sample you should definitely move up, although I'm guessing you haven't sustained it over a large enough sample.

he said 6000 hands. You're 'guess' was right.

In 6,000 hands anything could happen. There are people of equal skill to each other with far better runs than that and far, far worse runs. It's mostly just misleading to come to very firm conclusions yet. Be happy you're doing great so far, and see where your future numbers take you. Come back and ask again at 20,000 hands or more.

for some reason, I thought that was a LL rate (like .50/$1) poker) at which point it's a little low.

it's fine for 10/20 - /images/graemlins/grin.gif - not as many players per pot.

WTF do I know anyways...
