i was in a tournament this morning...450 entrants and down to last 100 with top 54 cashing...blinds were 400-800 if i recall correctly...i have about 6k...i am dealt pocket nines. I get 1 bet in front of me for 1200 dollars from a player with a similar amount of chips..I call.

flop comes 9,10,J rainbow and my opponent goes all in.
this is the remainder of my chips.

This player was somewhat loose in prior hands.

What would you do?

just interested to see if i did the right thing.

Will post what i did and what happened later

I would call without thinking twice.

I also call, if he flopped a strait he'd slowplay it, or at least wouldn't go all in like that.

Easy call there IMO. I admittedly don't play many tournaments but I don't see how you could possibly fold here.

Looks to me like QQ-AA here. Even if he flopped a str8 you have a draw to fill up. I call.

I agree you have to call, strong position its not like you have just a weak pair.

I would post the question here (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/postlist.php?Cat=&Board=tourn) where it belongs.

I'd also call.
