I didn't realize that one was so easy. I thought it was tough (which probably says something for my aggression). Two more then:

a) Instead of 570 chips, you have 850.

b) Same stack sizes, but you have A2o.

I think that a) is now a fold, and I don't have any idea about b).

a) easy fold
b) easy push

I've played so many SNG's the past month these situations are completely intuitive (hopefully correctly lol) - anyone else want to throw some analysis in there?

I would fold in both of these scenarios. I do not push A2o except from the button or the small blind. The lowest offsuit Ace I would push in your original scenario is probably A5. That's not as close to A7 as it may seem at first glance. Discounting ties and AA, an opponent's ace will be lower than your A5 only 27% of the time, compared with 45% of the time when you hold A7. The difference is even more drastic if your opponents fold, say, A2-A3. Yes, if you are playing against opponents who fold all of A2-A7 then A7 has no advantage over A5...but at the $10s, many of your opponents do not play this way.

The lowest offsuit Ace I would push in alternate scenario a.) is...A9 or AT, I'm not sure.

I am a bit sick. Perhaps when Tax Goddess moves in, I can be rehabilitated /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Or she'll take a liking to taking it in...

never mind.....................

A. Closer. If you dont push here you are going to have to push in the next 3 hands so it might be a damned if you do damed if you dont. But I still push here everytime.
