playing the 6-12 holdem at bay101. 5am, table is full of old awful poker players. about 6-7 People seeing a flop.

I'm in the cut off with AQs... There are 4 limpers ahead of me with no raise. Everyone at the table raises any pocket pair, yes, they will 2 bet 22 utg and even worse 3 bet 44 from MP. I know for a fact my hand is the best hand preflop, but, should I raise here? No one ever folds the button/sb/bb since they already have money in the pot (button pays 3$ rake).

Here are the %s of my hands vs some random hands that I have seen played all night at this table.

pokenum -h as qs - tc 8c - jd qh - ah 3s - 7s 6d - 5c jc
Holdem Hi: 658008 enumerated boards
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV

Tc 8c 139937 21.27 517142 78.59 929 0.14 0.213
Jd Qh 78431 11.92 564062 85.72 15515 2.36 0.131
3s Ah 63434 9.64 583858 88.73 10716 1.63 0.104
7s 6d 116643 17.73 540436 82.13 929 0.14 0.178
Jc 5c 82533 12.54 564902 85.85 10573 1.61 0.133

Now, I am a slight fav, but should I risk putting a full bet in before the flop with such a marginal %? or should I just call and play my cards after I see the flop?

The whole night I was raising AK, AQ, and AJ preflop when I knew I was ahead. But I think I could have played a bit more passive (just limped) esp in a game like this?

Thoughts? Ideas? Comments?

you should raise, because your hand is the best and you have an edge, also becomes raising preflop makes old people grumpy /images/graemlins/smile.gif

If you like money, raise. If you don't like money, or are uncomfortable when you have an advantage over other players, then just call (or fold).

Any advantage is an advantage. Most of your profit will come from pushing small edges. The blinds and rake will kill you if you sit back and wait for monsters.

Definite raise, I believe SSH covers almost this exact same situation with the same logic as another poster pointed out - you have an edge, raise to exploit it.
