I went out to Vegas this week and had the priveledge of meeting up with w/ Dynasty and Clarkmiester. They are two great players and great guys. I have really learned a lot from them especially

"VALUE BET THE RIVER!!!!"

From now on when it gets down to the river I'm going to BET!!! NO CHECK!!! These two guys really understand what it means to be a professional gambler and they have demonstrated it to me. Not once did they stick a coin in a slot machine or throw $20 on black. They are two great guys and if you take the trip to Vegas I encourage you to go meet them. I also had the priveledge of meeting Dave Otteson who got kicked out of a casino for......well let's just say he was counting. These guys are super intelligent and that is to say the least. If you ever need advice these are the guys to talk to. We played mostly 4-8 at Mandalay Bay and Monte Carlo as you can tell from the posts, but even though it was a smaller limit, we were still playing very serious....except for Otteson who was playing the role of a maniac RAISING AND RAISING AND RAISING at the Mandalay Bay.

Thanks guys I had a great time with you!!!

I also got to meet up with PokerBabe and let me tell you she is HOT!! She can carry the name PokerBabe because she is a fox.

I went over to the Bellagio late Thursday night and in the High Limit section I saw Doyle Brunson, Chip Reese, Mike Matusow and quite possibly David Sklansky and I think I saw Roy Cooke too and may other serious big time pro poker players.

LAS VEGAS IS AWESOME!!!!

-I'll be back soon and just remember my game will be so much better than it was this past time.

I'll be value betting that river all day LONG!!

-of course when its within reason.

I thought I got the tap because my incredible charm was slowing down the blackjack game

The Babe had the pleasure of meeting David O. in the 10-20 game where he taught me a new "checking" technique. It's really cute and he kinda looks like a cartoon character when he does it /images/smile.gif. I didn't get a chance to spend any time with Mikey, but I certainly appreciate the nice compliment /images/wink.gif. As for Clark and Dynasty, yup, they both have their charm, even if their poker advice is redundant (bet, bet, bet) /images/biggrin.gif. I've learned from them as well and Clark even made Best Boys list last year!. But Mikey,..before you put Clark and Dynasty on a pedestal I must tell you that neither is without "leaks". Clark is known to bet the ponies on occassion (although this is due to the influence of D.Andrew, I think) and Dynasty needs to rethink his wardrobe (except for the "Your Move" shirt that I love). I thoroughly enjoyed meeting you Mikey. Hope you took all my teasing in the spirit in which it was intended. Hey, you could've been Canadian. What a disaster that would have been.

I am definitely not a professional player, however. But I do know that "they can't call with a worse hand" is the most ridiculous advice ever given on this forum when it comes to 10-20 and below. /images/smile.gif

Great value bet with those queens.

(I make my check, which involves holding my hands palms up and looking confused, like the dealer is speaking a foreign language)

dealer: "What does that mean?"

me: "What does this mean? What does it look like it means??"

Dealer: "Hey, I'm not a sign language interpreter"

me: "It means I have nothing I check"

...action...

me: "I raise"
