Lionel Hampton Died. One of the last Jazz/Big Band/R&B greats that lived through the entire big band/quartet era. Started in the late 1920s. Played with Benny Goodman and then struck out on his own. I think he still recorded and performed into the late 1990s. So long vibe man.
