Do you have any reads? It's really important.

Bet the flop. You will have the only ace more often then you think. When you do there may not be any callers and you won't have to worry about the turn. That ace is a powerful threat when they don't happen to have one. Think of it as a semibluff. Sometimes all of them fold and sometimes you turn a king. At 11-1 it can't be right to give up. I'll worry about the turn when it gets here. There is no law that say I have to keep going after three callers and a brick. That many callers is a very unfavorable result.

But I do agree that checking worked this time. When you get a bet and three callers on this board you should fold. Someone has an ace or better almost 100% of the time and you can't even consider playing it as a draw without the K /images/graemlins/heart.gif.

There are many SB players against whom this fold is correct. Lots of sound passive players will not cap with less than KK. Even if SB's range is AA-QQ and AK you don't want to play this multiway with another PFR.

Of course without reads I think the fold is a crock.
