well, other than Bush's "The only consistent thing about my opponent....pause pause pause....is inconsistency." /images/graemlins/tongue.gif Priceless.
On with my post....to set it up, early on Bush had used the "Wrong war, wrong place, wrong time" quote 2 or 3 times and used it to say that Kerry was "denigrating" our troops and what they've accomplished.
I don't know what Lehrer's specific question was, but Kerry used it to respond to that accusation and clearly outlined that there is nothing more noble than what our soldiers are doing, however, there is a difference between the war and the warriors. One can think the war is wrong, yet the people fighting it are still noble, it IS NOT a mixed message. W's rebuttal? My opponent says "Wrong war, wrong place, wrong time."
