Hi,

In a post a few weeks back: No Limit Myths continued natedogg -- Monday, 13 August 2001, at 8:50 p.m.

You speak about playing according to the stack sizes, and hint that it playes a big roll in being aggressive.

Could you explaine a bit what you mean? You insights are always greatly appreciated.

Thx

Perhaps on Monday. I'm a little reluctant because there are lurkers and posters who understand playing stack sizes MUCH better than I do (Tommy Angelo for one). I had the "stack size epiphany" about nine months ago, so I'm hardly the stack size expert. But I'll take a shot at outlining some of the things I've learned to hopefully spur some interesting discussion about stack size play.

One way to illuminate the importance of stack sizes is to think of questions/statements about hands without desribing the stack sizes. Invariably, the same sentence can sound brilliant or foolish depending on stack sizes.

"He went all in UTG with AA."

"I raised $400 with the nuts"

"I got all in before the flop with TT".

"He raised $50 from the big blind with KK"

Statements like that mean nothing to the listener without stack size info.
