Why on the cover do they show

and then on the left

J /images/graemlins/spade.gif 7 /images/graemlins/club.gif

and on the right

Any reason for this? Why these cards were selected?

Nah.. no inside jokes. It's just meant to be amusing. Two guys play bad hands, each catches a very tenuous piece of the flop, player B "sucks out" on the turn, and then A "sucks out" again for a chop on the river.

Kind of like the ace-king versus eight-three hands on the other books, except both hands suck to begin with and they end up chopping.

Also, it's got lots of pretty picture cards.
