I agree splitting Sports would be a good thing. Also, the left column of links would look better as:

This way newbies wouldn't wonder why Politics has such a place of prominence on the OT forum, and it would look/read better overall.

Also, it might attract some Sports nuts who might otherwise give the OT forums only a passing glance.

Any day now we should be getting an 'Israel-Palestine' forum. I hear it's already in the works.
