Call / Raise or fold - Top pair / Multi way - Check raise on the turn

Here's a hand that often happened - Call/raise or fold with top pair in multiway and bad board ?

I 'm on the button with Kd Kh

3 players limp, cut off limp , I raise, SB call , BB fold , else call (13 SB) .

Flop : 8c Qc 2s


Everybody check to me and I bet . SB (good player) call, cut off call .

Turn : Js

SB and CO check, I bet , SB Raise . CO fold

hu ? What the best ! ?


ps : i call, and call a river bet, loosing to s straight .

Often, you'll be check raise on the turn . What to do ? depending only to the pot size ? In this case io found pot was big enough to showdown

you lost to a straight. the correct move would have been to fold the turn, but you can *know* he has a straight so you have to account for the other options:

Two pair: 6 outs
Set: 2 outs
Semi bluff/bluff (not likely but possible), over playing TPTK etc.

These possabilitys coupled with the fact that the pot is big equal a rather easy call on the turn and, while not as easy on the river you should call here as well. Paying off is part of the game and must be accepted.
