The Platinum Poker Club.

I cannot connect to this site, I get a "could not connect to server" error.

Think they shut the doors?

The following is my OPINION based on what I've seen at Platinum as well as other small sites that have had problems (Choice, big bet, etc).

The facts
<ul type="square"> Many of their regular players have left. Connection problems have been happening for over the last week. Cashouts have been slow (although they are still going through at this point from what I've seen/heard)
[/list]

Based on my expereince with two other sites that have gone under, I would advise anyone with money still at the site to consider how much they have at risk and how losing that money would effect them (i.e. if they go under will losing the $X you have at the site be devastating to your bankroll?)

I'm NOT saying they are going to close, and furthermore even if they do close it doesn't mean they are going to take your money (for example, when big bet closed they gave us time to get our money out and to the best of my knowledge everyone got paid), but there are a number of warning signs that have started to show up and I would say you should be very careful at this point.

Once again, just my OPINION based on previous expereince.

Big Bet still owes me $100 considering the massive amount of money I cashed out of there I dont lose any sleep over it.

I have no first hand knowledge of anything going on at this room, all I know is that they SUCKED.

The difference between this room and Big Bet is that Big Bet was backed by Odds On/English Harbour. All of the big Odds On casinos had skins of Big Bet and it was licensed in Antigua, although this doesnt always mean anything this is better then Costa Rica where most are. At least you have some sort enforcement as opposed to none. It was certainly in Odds On's best interest to pay everyone so not to tarnish their reputation, as far as I know I am the only person owed money. After hitting the bad beat jackpot for $6250 I really did not see making a big deal over $100.

Big Bet is owned by Sam (was) who now runs Pokeroo, so hit him up for the dosh...

As for the Platinum Poker Club, I have no reason to believe they are going to close anytime in the near future... why upgrade ur servers if ur going to close LOL

Sam owned Pokerpot or something like that, it was a skin I thought, Big Bet did not make their affiliation with Odds On a secret, even going so far as using Virtual Exchange, the processor for Odds On and if you called support or emailed them it was answered by Odds On support.

2-3 months befire Big Bet busted Pokerpot bailed out seeing the writing on the walls I am sure.

Maybe I misunderstood?

Yeah, it looks like they will be offering deposit/reload bonuses in the near future, based on the software upgrade.
