View Full Version : Tournament vs Live Game Stats

One of the biggest differences between StatKing and Card Player Analyst is in the way they deal with tournaments. CPA keeps tournament results separate from live games, while StatKing lumps them together treating tournaments as just another kind of limit.

I'm leaning towards keeping them separate because live games can be judged by hourly rate and std.dev. Tournaments seem to swing the statistics a lot because the std.dev. is so different. There is an opportunity cost in playing in a tournament vs. a live game, but how would one calculate that?

By default I was going to keep the same kinds of data at CPA, buyin, cashout, place, total #entries, total #rebuys. What other data should I keep?

What kinds of statistics are interesting about tournament play?
