Hi Wolfgang,

I'm a non-smoker myself but I play in a lot of card rooms so here goes.......

Card rooms you can smoke in:

1) Palms
2) Palace Station
3) Stardust
4) Sahara
5) Circus Circus
6) El Cortez
7) Plaza
8) New Town Tavern
9) Nevada Palace
10) Speedway
11) Cannery
12) Poker Palace
13) Club Fortune
14) Texas Station
15) Sunset Station
16) Sam's Town
17) Arizona Charlie's
18) Boulder Station
19) Fiesta-Rancho
20) Fiesta-Henderson
21) Orleans between 3:00 am & 9:00 am (I just left a good $10-20-1/2 kill here, when the whole table lit up at 3:00 :-(

That's off the top of my head. If anyone sees any I missed, please post.

Have fun on your trip!

Best Wishes

Howard

No smoking in the 1 and 9(or 10 seats) on Holdem and no smoking in the 1 and 8 seats on stud tables. IE: next to the dealer in most rooms that allow it, if not all of them as well.

Nice concise list. Well done.

You may want to check Circus Circus however. Although I know the Circus Circus room used to be a smoking room, because it's owned by Mandalay Resorts, I'm pretty sure it's no smoking now.

I haven't been down to Circus Circus in a few weeks, so I can't say for certain.

Hi AVP,

Circus Circus is still a smoking poker room. I was in there tonight and it's still smoking.

Best of Luck

Long story short: No smoking in the good cardrooms. Smoking in the small rooms and dump rooms.

Perhaps this could be an opportunity to quit? Cancer sucks, trust me.

Of course, nicotine withdrawal and good poker play are likely not well correlated.

Generally, smoking is allowed everywhere except for a few select poker rooms. In some places, smoking is actually required. If you accidently sit in a non-smoking section of a resturant, you will have to ask for an ash tray.
