Very loose game, lots of raising and calling with questionable hands. BB just sat down, I know nothing about him. Feel free to comment on the pre-flop re-raise, but I felt like I was very likely the best hand here. I'm more interested in the flop. Do you call or fold here?

reraise is fine if people are raising weak hands. fold the flop.

Thanks for the reply schwza, at least that makes one /images/graemlins/crazy.gif.

I actually thought it was an easy fold, but after the hand a self-appointed table expert started berating me, saying that anything worth a reraise preflop was worth the $6 call after everyone else passed. I think that is an idiotic argument, but a couple other players chimed in, in agreement. One player in particular, who I've chatted with on the side a couple of times, IM'd me to ask me what I had. I told him, and he said he thought it was a bad fold too. I told him that I didn't want to discuss it then, but I'd post it here and he could make his case (he says he's a lurker but hasn't posted). I guess he doesn't want to after all. I can only assume by the lack of comments that nobody else thinks it's a close decision either.

If you held A's, would that sway your decision?

preflop: whatever.
flop: very easy fold. his arguement is horrible, and shows a lack of poker understanding.
