I discovered the joys (and profitability) of 6-max tables a few months ago, and since then I've accumulated about 30000 hands playing 1/2, 2/4 and 3/6 on pokerstars. Short handed games rock! Any analysis and comments on my stats to show what areas need improving would be MUCH appreciated. Thx!

vpip- much better the last 15k hands
you could tighten up a bit calling raises from the SB and loosen up from the BB to steals.

you need to get more aggressive pf (.58 is way too low.)

and yeah, you could CR more.

nice win rate though

Agree.

Are you thinking about position? Are you playing much less UTG then on button?

Also, look at the hands you are playing close to 100% in differnt positions. This way you will understand which hands you should fold. (I found out I had to fold small pairs and QTo UTG, and UTG+1, saved me a few $/h)

I'd check T9o, 98o/s, and 44... all three are leaks in my 6-max game that need to be plugged, esp. from MP and UTG+1. I wouldn't be surprised to see this as being the case for others.

Am I too tight for folding these hands from anywhere except for a blind steal/defense? I can't even imagine playing one from EP/MP.

I don't think you are missing anything folding those outside of blind steal/defense situations. I might consider over-limping on the button with these type hands if conditions were perfect: i.e. 3 limpers and the blinds will both play but never raise, and my opponents play badly, predictibly, and too loosely post-flop.

FWIW,

The 44 IŽd limp after 2+ limpers, but you allready know this. The T9 IŽll openraise on the button and the 98 IŽll defend HU vs SB, maybe against some very aggr in LP also.

You openraise 98o when folded to you in the SB vs the avg loose guy ?

Agree. I would sometimes raise 44 from CO but normally only from button fist in. I would call with 44 if 2 players already in or if I was "sure" they would call behind.

The lowest hand I would raise UTG (I never call) is 66, ATo, KJo, QJo, KTs, Axs, QTs, JTs. I would sometimes fold QJo and sometimes raise T9s (but T9s is at best marginal, but fun to play when it hits). This is at 5/10. Started playing 10/20 lately, not sure if I need to be a little tighter here, a little less people seeing flop and a little more raising.

If he was loose-passive enough I would think about calling. You will win a lot postflop against a loose-passive guy headsup and no need to put in more then 1/4 of pot with 98o (or Q8o or hands like that).

Thanks everybody for the info and advice.. again MUCH appreciated.

Regarding my low check raise percentage, should I do more check raise bluffs or just plain check raise when I have a good hand.. or both? What are some good 6 max check raise pokertracker values?

When you're check raised, do you often fold? I know I do.. Say I have big slick UTG, I raise, only BB calls, flop misses me I bet then BB CR's me.. fold or reraise?

I know most answers are "it depends" but I'm just looking for some general guidelines.

BTW, my last 10K hands or so the preflop aggression is much higher so I'm heading in the right direction there.

thx again...
