He actually had a pdf file on his website. The link is broken now. Maybe someone could find it. It used to be at
http://www.georgewbush.com/general/record.pdf

Comparing Kerry to Bush isn't fair. Governors have more power. You should compare the average Senator vs. Kerry over the same time period of service. Then do the same with Bush.

On July 29, 1989, GWB (as owner of the Texas Rangers) traded Sammy Sosa and Wilson Alvarez to the Chicago White Sox for Harold Baines and Fred Manrique.

Wilson Alvarez went on to pitch a no-hitter in his first major league start for the White Sox.

Sammy Sosa went on to hit over 550 Home Runs (and counting) and the 1998 National League MVP award after subsequently being traded to the Cubs.

By any standard - one of the worst trades in MLB history.

(Edit - in fairness, Harold Baines HAD BEEN an excellent major league baseball player, but he was on the downside of his career at the time of the trade)

That is a very good answer, IMO.

BTW, just for those who are not clear on this. I don't really care about getting real answers, this is just a response to the "What Are Kerry's Major Accomplishments As A Politician" thread. As I recall, four years ago everyone was talking about how Bush had done nothing.

Set the record for most executions occurring under a State Governor in the history of the United States.

Including killing some retards!

But I'm sure George was doing it to be politically correct for guys like ericd. It would be unfair to suggest that retards aren't capable of making good decisions like any other human being. They're special - it's not like they're retarded or something!

He lost whole months of his life on cocaine and alcohol binges in the Mexican desert. If he'd campaigned on that platform I might have voted for him /images/graemlins/grin.gif
