30+3 Sunday Tourney. Most of my accumulation was done in the 100-200, 150-300 blind phase with a nice assortment of steals and re-steals. Then the inevitable card dead period occured and I think this is what happens when I slip from my optimal discipline.

If I played these fine then great, but I think I need a good beating over the head.

After the last hand I was quickly carted to another table and this hand occured shortly thereafter. I was a low stack at this point. See a flop here, or try to pick it all up?

Silly for even asking?

Hand 1 - good laydown. UTG's re-raise screams "I can beat top pair", I'd expect to see JJ,QQ,KK, or AA there

I'm not sure I'd call a PF raise from UTG with AJs though. You have to give him credit for a decent hand raising UTG, and you have to have a fairly specific flop to feel good about your hand.
I'd probably muck it. Remember GAP theory...I don't think AJs is strong enough to call PF raises, unless you are deeper than you are in this hand as you only have 16BB, so you can't afford to blow off chips looking for your flop.

Hand 2 - you have 6XBB in the BB, 2 limpers and the SB come in, with AJo autopush.

Woodguy

Thats what I really wanted to hear. Like I said, I slipped off my discipline. It made me re-think the typical UTG raising standards. What does AJs beat that someone raises from UTG with? Especially a min raise. Not much.
I finally got my whits about me after my flop raise and gave up the hand.

Thats why they call it a trouble hand.
