Answer me this. How much luck is involved in
a 10 handed game of Limit holdem, a ten handed nlhe ring game, in a heads up match (LHE), heads up match (nlhe), and in multi table tournaments (LHE then do NLHE) consisting of exactly 1000 people ( just changes hands to tournaments). Answer on a percent scale of 0 - 100 0% being no skill and 100% being nothing but skill.
1) over 1 hand
2) over 50 hands
3) over 500 hands
4) over 5000 hands
5) over 50,000 hands
6) over 500,000 hands
7) over infinite hands

Ditto this!

Although in every MTT you need to win with AK v PP and win PP v AK - this is on of the fundamental differences between winning and not IMO.

Anyone interested in defining and quantifying luck might enjoy reading this thread (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=836916&page=&view=&sb=5&o =&fpart=1&vc=1), especially pzhon's contributions.

...how much luck factors into winning poker...whether it's 90% skill and 10% luck or the other way around, in the long run, the more skillful player will come out ahead.

The only time when quanitfying the amount of luck vs. skill comes in handy is when you're trying to determine our bankroll and how big it should be to weather bad luck streaks.
