The Backgroud:


Some lost soul known as Vince Lepore recently started a thread titled: A Sklansky Question? I followed the thread with interest until it gradually wound down to an ignominious death. The question, apparently, still unanswered.


The Prologue:


I was scaning some odd papers and notes and found a page ripped from a phamplet lately received. Some gentlemen were soliciting me to purchase a book of humorous verse. They provided a sample as an inducement.(I have no reference to acknowledge the author of the following verse.) After a quick read, it immediately stuck me that this verse is THE ANSWER that the lost soul called Vince Lepore was seeking. A better answer would be hard to find.


THE ANSWER:


The other day upon a stair

I met a man who wasn't there,

He wasn't there again today -

Oh, how I wish he'd go away...
