Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed)

Basic, fishy table...MP2 has only a little over 4BB at the start of the hand. MP3 is a loose-passive calling station.

Preflop: chesspain is UTG+1 with 3/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 3/images/graemlins/club.gif.
1 fold, chesspain calls, 2 folds, MP2 raises, MP3 calls, 1 fold, Button calls, 2 folds, chesspain calls. Note: After I openlimped, I resumed reading a post, and when the action came back to me to call, I mistakingly thought that the Button was the player who raised.

Flop: (9.50 SB) Q/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 4/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 3/images/graemlins/heart.gif (4 players)
chesspain bets, MP2 raises, MP3 calls, Button folds, chesspain 3-bets, MP2 caps, MP3 calls, chesspain calls.

Turn: (10.75 BB) T/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (3 players)
chesspain bets, MP2 bets $5 (All-In), MP3 calls, chesspain calls.

River: (14.50 BB) J/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (3 players, 1 all-in)
chesspain bets, MP3 folds.

Question: If I had been aware on the flop that the short-stacked MP3 was the preflop raiser, would it have been more correct to check the flop, in order to go for either a checkraise here or on the turn, since MP3 may be stacking off?

I would say so. The way you played it, even though on the turn you don't know who the pfr was, you should definitely still check-raise. I can't think of many (any?) situations where MP2 doesn't throw in his last 5/6th of a bet given the flop action, and you can trap MP3 for another bet.

MP3 (all-in on turn) had A /images/graemlins/spade.gif A /images/graemlins/diamond.gif, and MHIG.

With MP3 in the middle, raise the turn Chess.

I check-raise, call a 3bet and check-raise again on turn.

I assume that since MP2 only raised 1/4 over a call, I was only offered the option to call.

I never was clear on those rules (which I think are about as stupid as it gets).

I´m not sure either, but I have [censored] them up once. Think you cant raise if its less than a half bet.
