intersting RGP thread

Under the mundane heading "Hold 'em: a common quandry with overcards" Howard Lederer and Vince Lepore have an interetsing exchange with some comments by Abdul thrown in.

good thread...i happen to agree with what howard says. i couldnt believe abdul asking why to make a small -EV play. i had to look again to make sure he's the one who asked it. howards answer was right on. its hard to think that the 'give a little to take alot' concept is new to abdul.


anyways...it was a good thread that seemed to deteriorate a little at the end...

I don't think Abdul was asking because he disagreed necisarilly, but because he thought that Lederer should elaborate for others or that if it has potential benefits down the line it should not be considered -EV.


Yeah I should have mentioned not to read past the Lederer-Lepore exchange.
