Paradise Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (10 handed)

saw flop|<font color="C00000">saw showdown</font>

<font color="C00000">Hero ($26.25)</font>
UTG+2 ($8.00)
MP1 ($11.20)
MP2 ($34.05)
MP3 ($13.15)
CO ($17.65)
Button ($28.35)
SB ($8.83)
<font color="C00000">BB ($46.98)</font>
UTG ($24.80)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with 9/images/graemlins/spade.gif, T/images/graemlins/spade.gif. SB posts a blind of $0.10.
UTG folds, Hero calls $0.25, UTG+2 calls $0.25, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, CO calls $0.25, Button calls $0.25, SB (poster) folds, BB checks.

<font color="green"> I'm just calling here since I'm UTG+1. Almost a fold. Table has sometimes been quite passive, so I have half a chance to just get callers with no raisers here. </font>

Flop: ($1.35) 3/images/graemlins/club.gif, 8/images/graemlins/spade.gif, A/images/graemlins/spade.gif <font color="blue">(5 players)</font>
BB checks, <font color="CC3333">Hero bets $1</font>, UTG+2 folds, CO folds, Button folds, BB calls $1.

<font color="green"> Half representing the Ace, half on a semi-bluff with the flush draw. I imagine the bet will help me sniff out an Ace, if one is out there.</font>

Turn: ($3.35) 5/images/graemlins/spade.gif <font color="blue">(2 players)</font>
BB checks, <font color="CC3333">Hero bets $3</font>, <font color="CC3333">BB raises to $10</font>, Hero calls $7.

<font color="green">YES! I make my flush! Let's make a pot-sized bet. Oops. Now what does BB have? J, Q, K of spades, plus ANOTHER spade all beat me. Do I have odds to call? Does he have an Ace and is trying to find out something? In retrospect, I probably should have been wary of such an overbet. I make the call anyway. </font>

River: ($23.35) T/images/graemlins/club.gif <font color="blue">(2 players)</font>
<font color="CC3333">BB bets $5</font>, Hero calls $5.

Final Pot: $33.35
<font color="green">Main Pot: $33.35, between Hero and BB.</font>

<font color="green"> Plan here is to check and call, unless he makes a large bet. I HAVE to call the $5 bet, right? </font>

Results to follow. Now I'm thinking that the turn call may be rather weak.

fold preflop, check fold or check call flop, otherwise it was fine.

You want to fold this hand preflop.

You're not folding for fear of being raised behind you, but because if you make your hand it won't be the nuts (unless it's a straight) and you'll be out of position with a drawing hand.

And as we all know, position is boss in NL.
