% breakup for backer

Can someone experienced in these matters please inform me about the standard % breakup a backer gets from a "horse". In this case, the game is 3 times bigger than i am comfortable with, so the backer is putting up 65% of the buyin, me 35%. Does this mean that he should get back 65% of any winnings, or should it be less as a payment for my skill and services. If so, how much less? thx

If you are putting up 35% of the money and only getting 35% of the earn then you will most likely be better of playing smaller, since your hourly rate relative to the limit will probably be higher at the smaller limit (unless you are talking about very small where the rake might become a factor).
