This is exactly how I'd have played it.

With a paired board I back down a tad. I don't think people take pair boards serious enough and all you have is top pair and you are looking at a boat threat and a flush threat.

Granted YOU have a boat threat but MP3 is not backing down so he is either bluffing (which I doubt) or has another 9.

UTG+2 probebly has the flush and was slow playing the turn.

MP3 probebly had a K.

I wpuld have called the flop and turned passive with a losing AA.

How can you give somone credit for a 9? All 3 players in raised pf. The only boat you could be scared of before the river is KK, which will be rare (especially after the river) enough make not being scared of worth it. Yes, on the river, you're probably beat, but I would guess not until then. FWIW, I would've played this exactly the same. On the flop, he probably has a K as evidenced by the turn call (good bet here btw). On the river, I would think you're probably beat a large majority of the time, but you definitley have to call.

This is played perfectly, IMO.

MP3 probably has QQ/JJ, and UTG+2 probably AK. You were ahead until he spiked king #2 on the river, but you have to pay him off due to the pot size.

Do you honestly think he would've laid down kings full on the river for one bet?

I think this is the only way you can play it.
