It's interesting that post 9/11 Kerry has changed his views on Iraq and pre emptive actions. From a Crossfire show in 1997:
"We know we can't count on the French. We know we can't count on the Russians," said Mr. Kerry. "We know that Iraq is a danger to the United States, and we reserve the right to take pre-emptive action whenever we feel it's in our national interest."
The guy talks about using diplomacy then goes about it by calling Allawi a liar and a puppet; referring to the coalition as the "coaltion of the bribed" and the "fraudulant coaliton"; and then more or less telling Austrailia they're more susceptible to terrorist attacks because they support the U.S. He's a disgrace.
