I'm at this $50 tournament because of UTG+1, who is atrocious, once CCing a 250 chip raise from the BB- when he started with 700- with K3o. I have no read on the guy to his left; it's only the third hand.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t15 (10 handed)

Hero (t1000)
MP1 (t990)
MP2 (t970)
MP3 (t865)
CO (t945)
Button (t940)
SB (t1120)
BB (t1000)
UTG (t1010)
UTG+1 (t1160)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+2 with A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, K/images/graemlins/diamond.gif.
UTG calls t15, UTG+1 calls t15, Hero raises to t75, 2 folds, MP3 calls t75, 4 folds, UTG calls t60, UTG+1 calls t60.

Flop: (t325) 8/images/graemlins/club.gif, A/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 7/images/graemlins/heart.gif (4 players)
UTG checks, UTG+1 bets t50, Hero raises to t175, MP3 folds, UTG calls t175, UTG+1 calls t125.

At this point, I am 100% sure I have UTG+1 beat and he's holding A-rag. The smaller raise was designed to keep him in...but UTG coldcalled.

Turn: (t850) 9/images/graemlins/spade.gif (3 players)
UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero bets t250

I bet very small with the intention of folding to a UTG CR. Under no circumstances am I putting any more chips in this hand with him in it.

Good or weak/tight?

Without a read on UTG that is a tough one. You have already invested half your stack in this hand, so I really wouldn't want to muck it. Perhaps checking on the turn would be better. If he comes out firing on the river than you could be more certain that he's been slowplaying a monster, though I would still call a smallish bet. If he is holding Ax he would more than likely check the river as well, and than you could fire at him. This might seem weak-tight, but this early without a good read I'm more willing to give up some pot size to ensure that I don't get trapped.

I would check the turn if you think one of them is very strong (eg. two pair, trips, str8).

Yeah, in retrospect, I think the better play would be a check on the turn.

In the hand, both of them called and I shut down. The river was another A; UTG checked quickly and UTG+1 took forever before checking. I was tempted to bet again but checked behind. UTG+1, of course, had A6o. UTG had...Q8o.

That'll teach me to pay attention to chooks on a Thursday afternoon :P Just wanted to make sure my read was reasonable.
