View Full Version : What am I doing wrong?

These next four hands are typical of the vicious short term
losing streaks (generally covering 10 to 15 hands , including the ones I dont play).
What usually happens is weird. I will be going along fine, playing tight aggressive, taking notes , winning a little, then bam. Over the next 10 or 15 I will be dealt 5 or six very good hands, all in proper position and almost all you can raise from any position, so I do.
I swear I am not exaggerating when I say I lose over 90 percent of these hands after flopping either ahead or with strong draws or both. I lose to people hanging around with
small unconnected ofsuits, or one over card or something.
I have played about 10000 hands give or take(probably a little more).
Is this bad luck or is there something I am repeatedly doing which costs me so much of my bank roll every time one of these losing streaks hit.
After all this time I am almost totally even, maybe 5$ up.
Yet before each of these ,satan series of deals, I will be as much as 100 up.
If anyone can help me identify the huge flaw in my game and how I can improve it , I will be most appreciative.
Oh , I have SSH and reread it constantly. I cannot find anywhere in it where it suggests I am making any huge errors here. So it would be more helpful if someone would point out the errors here rather than just suggest I read a book.

sorry I must have accidentally posted this before it was finished. I did not know hitting enter while viewing would post it.

Hand 2
PF, okay.
Flop, okay.
Bet the turn.

Hand 3
PF, okay.
Flop, huh? 3-bet.
Turn, wha..? Please bet.
River, CO has a flush, but ok.

Hand 4
PF, 3-bet.
Flop, 3-bet.
It's tough to tell how this would have gone if you'd played pre-flop and the flop differently. I have no idea if you're good or not.

It looks like you're playing too passively sometimes. (Hands 3 and 4, for example.)

Also, you're not going to win every hand or every session, it's going to be up and down. That's just the way it goes.

Keep reading and posting, and get used to the swings.

Edit -- I messed up on the action on Hand 4, my bad. Also, seeing this posted so many times has sent me into a spiral of confusion.
