Bankroll needed??

How much bankroll is required for a 5-5 Pot limit dealers choice game (omaha hi low, omaha hi and holdem) and what can a good player expect to make over the long run. Is it possible to beat such a game for lets say $30/Hour ....

FWIW, I recently played $5-5 blinds pot limit in Vegas for 40 hours and won 4K. Two chunks of that came from lucky suckouts, 10 chunks from generous opponents, and the rest from underbetting at dinky pots. Except for that last thing, it felt like I had little to do with the results.

I’ve played 350 h in the same, very regular, pot-limit Hold’em and Omaha game. The game is not super soft, but I know the players well. It’s only $1-$1, so perhaps your game will be tougher, being so much bigger. Anyway:


According to Mason Malmuths BR formula, I will never get stuck 760 big blinds in such a game.


$5 * 760 = $3800


My win rate has been $18/h.


$5 * 18 = $90
