The buy-in is $30+$1 and that will get you into 3 tournaments for the day. I will calculate the payouts at the time of the game based on number of people that do show up. Winner of 1st tournament will get 25% of prize purse, winner or 2nd tournament will get 35%, and winner of final tournament will get 40%. Not set in stone, but something like that. I round up all numbers to make payouts easier to deal with.
You will start out with 2,875 in chips. We will play blinds and antes (just like WSOP on television). Blinds will double every 15 minutes and antes will double every 2 levels of blinds. Here are the blind and ante levels:
SMALL/BIG/ANTE
25/50/25
50/100/25
100/200/50
200/400/50
400/800/100
800/1600/100
1600/3200/200
3200/6400/200
6400/12800/400
Each tournament will probably end shortly once we reach the 1600/3200/200 level.
I have set up the blinds, antes, and betting structure so that each tournament will run roughly 1.5-2 hours depending on how tight we play, but ultimately the blinds will kill you if you don't play.
Plan on playing for the entire day (6 hours possible). Breaks will be given.
BRING YOUR OWN BEVERAGE. I SUGGEST EATING BEFORE YOU COME. I will give enough time during breaks if you want to go out for some grub. We can discuss refreshment details at the tournament for next time.
**RECOMMENDED... bring some extra cash ($20 or more) to play dealers' choice side games for straight cash while you wait for the tournament to end if you bust out early. Low level cash games, of course. I have a second set of chips to use. Bets start at 10 cents. Can't go wrong! It's a great way to past the time and make some cash too!
Seats are still available and if you know of anyone who wants to play, either let me know you're bringing a friend or have them contact me directly. First come first serve seating.
