after the new york trip a couple of weeks ago, I was jonseing for a good deli sandwich. I picked up the chron on sunday and saw that their cheap eats insert included a place called East Coast West Deli.
decided to try it out yesterday. picked up a couple of pastrami sandwiches before the game and chowed down in our club seats.
I wish I had a chance to eat this sandwich hot, but it was about an hour before I had a chance to dig in and it was cold by then. Still a very good sandwich, though, and the best pastrami I've had in the bay area. Thick slices that could have been a bit fattier, but still was pretty good and not dry at all. good sized sandwich, but not as huge as the one at Katz's. probably, pound for pound a slightly better deal than Katz's, but not quite as tasty.
all in all, it will do.
