That is taking advantage of differences in spreads among different online bookies.

I've heard stories of it being done.

Yes. But, you need quite a few books or a couple of books with really soft lines. Sometimes, you can even risk $0.

Thx craig, are there any sports where middling opps are more frequent? Like something obscure such as CFL football?

What are soft lines? Lines that move easily due to money coming in? Would you know of any sites with soft lines?

Baseball offers the most opportunities, but is reffered to as "scalping", you can also scalp NHL moneylines.

Basketball is probably number two (moreso totals).

You need a LOT of books (I use 15 or so and DONT middle so take it from there) Among them you would like books that offer reduced juice, free half points etc. And like craig said a book with "soft" lines. Soft lines are off market numbers.

Example: 95% of the books have a game at 3.5, and one book has a 3, this is a "soft" line.

Also a live line service would be very usefull.

So many of the books are clone joints...they are all using the same #s and nobody is willing to have much of an opinion. You can find some variety every once in a while, but everyone is chasing the same #s, so they don't last long (like arbitrage).

Your best bet is to find a local who is slow to move his #s and use the offshores for the other side. However, if you keep kicking in the teeth of the local (he gets stuck with the "winning" side), you can probably expect him to show you the door...then you're back to where you started.

Baseball is your best chance, as Sublime said.

Every weekend. I play as many middles as possible. I have a big advantage though, I have a BM that sets his lines on Weds so I have many big middles to take advantage of. One word of advice. The juice can add up very quickly so I will bet extra on the side I like to hopefully pay the juice and make a little extra if I don't hit the middle.

Slacker, what is a BM?

Always, it's a very important part of sports gambling. Your not goig to get many middles using only offshore sportsbooks, you need a local guy that either does not move his lines or is very slow to move them.
