I am looking for a few good players to stake. My idea is that new sites
have bad players. We would split the profits 50/50. We split our profit
every monday. The intial stake will be $100. If I find you to
be a good player I will stake you even more for higher limits. Lets make
some money!

givign someone $100 will really only allow them to play .5/1 and they'll be underrolled for even that. Let's say you establish one of them as a world class .5/1 player, how high would take make you comfortable staking them? Since most of the posters on this board are playing 3/6 or close to that I don't think offering them a chacne to play .5/1 for half of their profits will be very enticing.

I'd take you up on this, but $100?

This isn't worth most people's effort. What are people gonna play .25/.50?

Offer $15K and let's play some 15/30 and make some money /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Why don't you change your post to, "I want email addresses that I can spam" and be done with your flimsy cover.

The only game that would be worth staking someone for is $10/$20 and you would need at least $6000.00 to do so. If you are willing to stake that much I'm your huckleberry.

Here are the details:

1) You open a poker account on your favorite online poker site that consistenty has a $10/$20 or higher game.

2) You put $2000 into the account, this is the maximum daily loss for a player who can win $15/hour at $10/$20.

3) At the start of each day you log into the account on your computer and I use PCAnywhere to access your computer. This way you can even watch or check on me througout the day.

4) At the end of each day, you transfer half the winnings to my poker account.

5) If you don't transfer the daily winnings I don't play the next day.

That's it.

I'm looking for a stake to play 15/30 and am too damn lazy to put in the hours myself. Stake me $10K and I'll be happy to split profits with you (for a limited time). What? You are just an affiliate spammer hiding behind a "generous" offer? Damn, I guess you can't believe everything you read on the internet. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

aside from a $100 stake being pointless for a "good" player, 50/50 isn't fair for the player.

Sure it is. It's more than fair for the player. He/She's being given money that's allowing them to play higher than they otherwise would have been able to. 50/50 is definitely fair; it's just that it's unnecessarily high for the stakER and the stakEE will be able to find better staking deals elsewhere. But it's most definitley a "fair" proposition.

What's the standard cut?

Hey Danenania,

What's the standard cut?

I really don't know for sure. From what I gather from all of the staking deals I know of or have heard of (this is different from taking action), it seems like the average deal is 50/50. I personally would never consider staking someone at this high of a cut for myself. Currently there are three players playing with my money for decent stakes (total $24.5k in) and my cut with them ranges from 20% to 30%. I realize I could ask for and get more, but I'm not really in it for the money, as "yeah right" as that sounds.

I split the cheese 60/40 but it's not a steady stake it's more for when certain games are spread. Should I feel swindled?

No, not at all. That's called taking action and it's a lot different than staking. When I take someone's action, it's more about what stakes do you REALLY want to be playing that night. If there's a juicy 20/40 game going and they want to be able to play yellow chips and get comped all their food and be able to play in the "higher stakes room" but only have the BR for 10/20, I'll take 50% of their action so they can do all that (provided I think they're a winning player in that game). Taking someone's action is a lot different than staking.
