Warning: Newbie Question

If I have 2 connectors against 2 overcards, how do I calculate how much of a dog I am preflop? What if the connectors are suited?

I ask because I was shortstacked (4xBB) in the BB and it was down to the final two when I was dealt 6 7 off, the SB raised me to 2xBB and I figured he had 2 overs (at worse) and I only would have 2xBB remaining if I called--so I went all-in and lost. Any responses are appreciated. Thanks!

www.twodimes.net (http://www.twodimes.net) lets you plug in cards to see odds of success. Generaly you’re a 2:1 underdog.

As a general rule, anytime you are 100% positive you will be called if you go in and don’t want your opponent to do that, then pushing allin is bad. Instead, call, and then push no matter what flop hits. The result is the same, but your opponent gets an extra chance to fold (called the StopnGo)
